MAKGEOLLI
Gongju Gunbam Makgeolli, soft at first with a long sweetness
Soft but not light, with sweetness lasting to the end. This 6% ABV Gunbam Makgeolli recalls roasted chestnut and fire beside charcoal-grilled chicken.
A 2018 account of a 750ml bottle bought in 2017 describes a soft but not light first sip and non-cloying sweetness to the end. It records one bottle, not every current lot.
Masillog suggests salted charcoal-grilled chicken so savory juices sit between the long sweetness. This is not an official pairing.
