A regional makgeolli travel guide to Korea

ABOUT MASIL LOG

Making regional makgeolli easier to find

Masillog helps returning visitors find and understand regional makgeolli beyond Seoul, with a clear guide to local bottles and places.

We start with brewery locations, product differences, taste, and how to buy each bottle, then connect it to the culture of its region.

How we select

We first check whether a drink is actually brewed in the region. Its brewery and product information must be verifiable through a producer, local government, or public tourism or alcohol source. Regional ingredients are not required. We may include a bottle that ships nationwide when its brewery and local story are clear, and we show the date checked for distribution information.

Regional stories and practical travel information

We explain the production place and product information verified through breweries and public sources, then suggest markets, food, and neighborhood walks to see on the trip. Long-told stories are identified as traditions rather than facts.

How we handle taste and sales information

We summarize taste using language from producers and public sources, without ratings or rankings. Sales information carries a review date and keeps conditions such as sold out, pickup, or phone inquiry. Some images are editorial concepts rather than photographs of actual places.

Written from public sources for travelers

We verify product and regional information in the Korean source copy first, then adapt the same facts into Japanese and English for travelers. All three language versions show sources and review dates. The English copy was localized with AI assistance and reviewed for facts, style, names, figures, and citations; it has not been presented as native-speaker reviewed.
