You saved a photo of a tiny, brightly coloured carriage by the sea. Now the booking page offers a Beach Train as well as a Sky Capsule. They are different rides. If the little carriage is the point of your trip, start with the capsule. If you want to get off and explore along the coast, start with the train. Before comparing prices, decide where you want to end up.

The capsule takes you as far as Cheongsapo

The Sky Capsule follows an elevated track between Mipo and Cheongsapo. The operator gives a one-way journey time of about 30 minutes. It does not continue to Songjeong: board at Mipo and finish at Cheongsapo, or travel in the opposite direction.

If riding the capsule is what you are looking forward to, build your outing around that short journey. Leave time for a drink or a meal after you arrive. You need not visit every stop on the coast to enjoy the ride you saw in the photograph.

For Songjeong and stops along the way

The Beach Train connects Mipo, Cheongsapo and Songjeong, with intermediate stops including Daritdol Skywalk and Gudeokpo. Match your ticket to the stops you want: one ride, two rides or a pass for all stops.

The all-stops pass does not allow repeated boarding at the same station. Everyone gets off at Mipo and Songjeong, so a single ride is not a round trip spent in the same seat. Nor does a reservation guarantee an assigned window seat. Consider that if sitting down for the view matters particularly to you.

Using both? Plan the journey back first

One possible outing is a capsule from Mipo to Cheongsapo, followed by a Beach Train back to Mipo. Continuing to Songjeong means travelling farther east after the capsule ride. Decide whether to return to your starting point or finish at another beach; that makes the ticket choice clearer.

The capsule booking window is when you enter the waiting area. It does not promise departure at an exact minute and arrival exactly 30 minutes later. Leave a stop in Cheongsapo between rides instead of relying on an immediate connection or the last train of the day.

Check three things on the booking page

Check the ride name, the boarding station and the number of people or rides covered. Beach Train fares are per person; capsule fares are per vehicle according to group size. The two headline prices are not directly comparable.

Look for Sky Capsule or Beach Train on the English booking page. Save 미포정거장, 청사포정거장 and 송정정거장 on your map. For the capsule experience, choose that ride first. For an outing reaching Songjeong, plan the train stops first.
